Step 1: Enable GST in TallyPrime
1. Open TallyPrime
- Go to Gateway of Tally.
- Press F11 (Features) → Select Statutory & Taxation.

- Set Enable Goods and Services Tax (GST): Yes.
- Enter the GST Registration Type (e.g., Regular, Composition, SEZ, Exempt).

ABC Traders sells goods worth ₹10,000 at 18% GST to a customer in Maharashtra.
- Go to Gateway of Tally → Accounting Vouchers → F8 (Sales).
- Select Customer Ledger.
- Choose the Sales Ledger (e.g., ‘Sales 18% GST’).
- Select the Stock Item (GST rate auto-applies).
- Tally calculates GST automatically (CGST @9% = ₹900, SGST @9% = ₹900).
